The goal of the Polish Home Expansion Project was to add a new wing to the Polish Home building on Capitol Hill that since 1918 serves as the Polish Cultural Center in Seattle. Thanks to generous support of the Polish community members and friends, the fundraising committee gathered enough funds to for this to happen.
The construction of the new wing and the following remodeling of the old part of the building was achieved in 2008-2010. Now the project is almost done. Following the construction phase, the focus of the project was to pay off the construction debt that started at $200,000. This has been quite successful as well. As of Feb 2013 there is only about $20,000 debt left.
